omnia of yesterday:  well, I'm probably just being a big whiny wimp and suck it up and go to the meeting.

omnia of today:  gee, it's really nice that I no longer want to cry because I can hear myself blink and noise hurts.

so, new house:

pro column: it's so dark and quiet at night.
con column: my ability to write off random noises to other condo dwellers when home alone is no longer present and my cats walk with the delicacy and weight of small toddlers.

pro column: it's so fucking cozy in my tv room
con column: now I actually want to have people over, I'm realizing I don't have people to come over, especially large obnoxious in her anxiety dog tolerant people.

pro column:  we have a whole house
con column:  being closer to ground level means more windows that I need to wear clothes when walking past.   We'll be _those_ neighbors eventually, no need to rush it.

Now that my next tattoo is on the horizon (we're headed to baltimore in early November) I'm starting to think about the one after that.

I'm currently contemplating three tattoos that are wildly out of my aesthetic.  Sort of.  Delight talked about an artist they were emailing and told me that they had done a series of Dorothea Tanning tattoos.  And I immediately wondered if someone could tattoo the beastie from Birthday on me, which I've always thought of as Funnyface. I have had a poster of that painting hanging in my kitchen for years, and am still occasionally just struck speechless (and struck internal-monologue-less which almost never happens) by it.  This would be the first and only tattoo with any color in it.

Light and I are still thinking of getting matching tattoos some day, his with a video game controller saying "I have lived a thousand lives" and mine with a pile of books saying the same thing.   Now, I've already got an open book on one thigh (which was the basis for the book on his and my wedding jewelry) and I'm thinking of having Emi tattoo a stack of books on my arm for the sleeve of personal symbols I'm working on.  (after this next bit, I'm thinking I want a manta ray swimming through a floral element.  I'm currently drawn to irises, cattails and queen anne's lacebut I need to do more research on their meanings, since I only have the most basic idea what they are).

For the third tattoo, that buttercup festival panel that has been with me for a ridiculous number of years. the last panel of this http://www.buttercupfestival.com/59vol2.htm

Maybe if the left arm is the emi sleeve, I should make the right arm (the one that has my NC tattoo) the homage to various pieces of the works cited of my psyche.
