"that you'll admit to the tide"
Jul. 14th, 2013 08:28 pmOh, but I am tired. And crashy like a crashing thing, too many of my points spent, even if they were well spent. I left Readercon with only a few more books than I arrived, some awesome inscriptions, a small sense of pride, praise from people whose praise I treasure, and a mug from Portland.
A new small cat comes to live with us tomorrow, and I am anxious, and I will accidentally expect too much of her at least once.
All the things I have to say seem desperate or out of sorts, and I am both and neither all at once. I want a very particular hand on my hair, not to have a root canal tomorrow, and to have already unpacked. Sadly, none of these are going to be immediately true, so instead I write half-cryptic lj posts and snuggle with my much-missed doggie.
