Jun. 4th, 2007 05:10 pmWork asked me to stay on a little bit longer, and offered me part-time or flexible hours if I were to do so.
I'm inclined to say yes, but can't figure out in what configuration to do so. Also, was somewhat peeved by my boss stating "well, you did give notice on a short week" and "it could be as little as a couple weeks" when she had not approached me about this at all last week and I think extending my termination date by even one week would be nice of me.
Currently I'm trying to decide between two extra part time weeks and one extra full time week. I'm afraid however of getting in a weird place where my boss is mad at me for not extending it more and I'm mad at her for not appreciating me extending it at all. On the other hand, it's just one more week, and with that comes one more paycheck.
Also, I'm compiling a list of things I wish to learn to create while I am a lady of leisure. Current front runners are my own horchata, my own limeade, pineapple upside down cake, my own crystallized ginger and lemon yogurt cake. If you live in the area, please volunteer to eat the fruits (and baked goods) of my labor.
Well, we're off to indulge in restaurant week. Hopefully it's good tempeh.
