so, i admit, much of the time i'm neurotic and poorly socialized and whiny. And I post too many list-like things.

today however, the world is rocking mightily and I intend to enumerate. Watch me enumerate.

Light's installed a sexy, sexy new kitchen floor. I have chocolate covered peppermint altoids (I am aware I forfeit my vegetarian badge by eating a thing containing gelatin. I am entirely okay with this.)

I got drop dead lovely mail. Certain people rock mightly.

The Dresden Files was endearing. Sadly, watching a Sci Fi show means I end up flooding the tivo with things that sound like a good idea. Like Gryphon. 'cause, well, Amber Benson. I also have a brandy new Studio 60.

And I've been married four months today.

I avoid the "flood the tiVo" problem by tiVoing everything I think I want to watch, and then fast-forwarding through the commercials for all the other cool stuff I think I want to watch...
Of course, that doesn't really work.

I'm usually pretty good at this, but when I'm stepping I tend to have some sort of exercising-induced idiocy and don't go for the controller, so the movies sneak into my brain like tenacious little worms. Particularly when they're advertised seventeen times in the first half-hour.

I don't have a TiVo flooding problem, so much as I have an "flooding the hold shelf" problem. Working for an academic library that has borrowing within a large consortium means that I can order nearly anything on a whim and get it within 2-3 business days. This means that at any given moment I have about 10 books from that system that need reading. They sit on top of the bookcase of "Books I Bought And Need To Read".
