I'm reading an article in a recent Bitch magazine called "Purity in a Trumped-Up World: a conversation with Alexis Shotwell". In it Shotwell states they are "devoted to what Angela Davis [calls] the politics of citation."
As a phrase and murky concept, I want to know more about the politics of citation and my google skills are completely failing me. This seems especially vexing, like being unable to google "let me google that for you".
Anyone familiar with this concept or the works of Angela Davis and wouldn't mind having their brain picked? I'll bake you cookies when my oven works or trade for some equivalent labor.
