Feb. 4th, 2013 07:25 pmToday, I will be grateful for body modifications.
1. I am grateful that I am in a financial/socioeconomic place where I can be selective enough to have a job that doesn't have a dress code involving piercings or hair color or tattoos (the hospital did have such a policy).
2. I am grateful for the not-quite-voluntary-but-still-a-choice body modification that removed parts of my body that were probably going to try to kill me.
3. I am grateful for purple hair.
4. I am grateful for all the piercings I've managed to keep over the years.
5. I am so, so ludicrously over-the-top grateful for all of my tattoos and how it feels more like uncovering things that were always there than it does creating new things.
