Dec. 20th, 2008 08:40 amWell, snow.
I must admit, I was a little nervous to see how exactly the new house would handle snow (as in, would the porch fall off/the roof fall in). In theory, at some point, nice men (or ladies) with snowblowers will come and clear out the driveway on the extremely unlikely chance we wanted to drive anywhere today. We may be bussing somewhere today, but I find even that extremely unlikely.
I made bittersweet chocolate cookies last night (I think they're Light's favorite) and am tempted to dine on nothing but them for the rest of the day. We also put lights on the tree, and ornaments up and while I initially felt all bitter about the delay in tree-getting and the fact we leave for Wisconsin on Tuesday, I'm feeling pretty good about them now and full well admit, I'll probably keep them all up way past the point of reason. Also, the cats love the tree-skirt.
But there's tea to drink, and episodes of the Librarian on the Tivo, and if I read 9 more books this year, I'll hit 200 (and I'm pretty sure I can knock a solid handful out while at the inlaws). And I'm actually, finally, feeling a little bit of the knitting urge (which of late has only been striking while I'm riding the commuter rail out to my parents, so about 45 minutes every other week).
