failing at self preservation
Sep. 12th, 2008 02:38 pmNote to self: when you drop a knife, don't try to catch it.
I am now missing a goodly chunk of the tip of my left thumb. I called Light, he came home, we decided to check out the local emergency room. They were very nice, saw me very quickly, and I now have both painkillers and a lot of gauze around my thumb.
That said, I feel like a complete idiot, and had to cancel two things I was very much looking forward to this afternoon/evening. Also, it's weird to throw away the tip of your own thumb. I imagine anyone else's thumb would probably be just as odd, though.
