Aug. 1st, 2008 05:47 pmMoving, moving, moving. Boxes, dishes, bruises. Moving, moving, moving.
I finally caved and just put my sunglasses on, since the lack of any sort of window covering began to drive me mad, and I started to roam the house looking for some place dim only to realize every single room has windows. I'm not complaining about the windows, I love how much light we've got, I'm just ready for the sun to set today and for blinds to be purchased. I did spend a moment contemplating if throwing a sheet over the table and hiding under it would be more pitiful than I was ready for.
I've got plans for many nights next week, and I'm still never satisfied, thinking more about the unanswered emails than the answered ones. Bad o_m, no biscuit. On the other hand, I'm hoping to make banana bread this weekend, no matter how warm it is, so I don't have to feel quite so overwrought about the spoiling bananas, and I feel like I've made my mark on the kitchen.
My days feel full of silly details, where I volunteer, which boxes I unpacked, what piece of the house got set to order. Today, the mattress arrived. Hopefully this weekend, we'll put up a couple pieces of art. My computer's back from the shop and Netflix just delivered the first disc of Birds of Prey. A new Vin Diesel movie comes out at the end of the month, and we're hoping to plan a visit back to the western end of the state in the coming months. I keep wanting to knit, but the project I'm working on right now doesn't appeal to me very much and I have a strong desire to get something with superbulky yarn and huge needles.
Well, back to silly vampire books I guess. I wish I felt like I had something to say.
