new drip pan and burner rings make my stove a lot less grosslooking, but also make it sort of tragically elderly. like shiny rims on a junker car.

i bought lipstick, lipliner, eyeliner, armor-paneled control top nylons and the wrong color foundation, and then put the whole outfit for his sister's wedding together, and light got a little speechless, which was kind of gratifying. i wish i'd acquired the skills for non-goth makeup at some point in my life, though.

the tree will wait until next weekend, we think. unless i go into some sort of spasm tomorrow, which is entirely possible. because i really want to break out the box of decorations Right Now. Got our second and third cards in the mail today, which means tonight, after the fake pad thai, i'll be addressing some envelopes. but first, more puzzle pirates and cookbook reading, i think.
