obligatory wrapup
Dec. 31st, 2015 10:25 pmWe packed a lot of year into 2015.
The year began under siege from faulty electronics, but the problem was found and fixed and our homeowners policy bought us a brand new microwave and kettle, and fixed our fridge,
and then, in no particular order:
I went to NYC with Delight for a tattoo consult, and then a few months later acquired amazing new boob tattoos and 7K+ people saw a picture of them on fetlife.
I had the worst bout of food poisoning I've ever had. So did Light.
Light left a job and found a new one.
Abundance took a super-exciting offer at MIT and begins in a few days.
Our sweet grumbly dog grew increasingly old and bewildered and we eventually had to euthanize her. her ashes have joined Princess and Funnyface's, and I have yet to order a picture for the wall of the honored dead.
Light and I went to the virgin islands with Hands and Hips and found possibly the best vacation spot ever.
Abundance and I took a massive road trip that brought us to Duluth and back. It also involved me finally visiting the Shedd Aquarium
Light, Abundance and I sailed from one point in maine to a more northern part of maine.
Nephew #3 arrived on scene, with very little fuss.
I re-learned to drive, and used this skill to begin babysitting Nephew #2 every Wednesday to my unending delight.
I cross stitched not very much, followed eventually by a lot. I read nowhere near as much as I have other years. I discovered audiobooks. I read some books, cooked some things, went to some cons, went to a decent number of concerts, saw some movies, had exemplary friends.
I turn 40 in a couple weeks, and have even sketched out the outlines of the impending (or already here) life-crisis.
