Jun. 19th, 2015 10:39 amIt's not a race, it's not a contest. I'm just trying to post more often than not. hopefully this means that when I do skip a day, there's no momentum lost.
I did my best kind of work yesterday, given numbers and a byzantine excel spreadsheet and left to marry the two. And I wish there was some way I could just do this, find the flaws in the data, figure out why two things don't match, research assumptions. But there's also a lot of drek in my job, a lot of balls to keep in the air and things to keep track of. And an embarrassing amount of photocopying and scanning.
Today, Light and I drive to Northampton to see a peter mulvey/ani difranco concert. Tomorrow, I see Abundance for a bit before he heads off to London for a week. Sunday, I get to bring baked french toast over to Media & Saint & Coolidge & Kilometers house and bask in nephews. Right now I'm at Delight's house listening to Psychocandy, because Jesus and Mary Chain are having a 30th anniversary concert at the House of Blues in September. This isn't an album of theirs I'm especially fond of, I'm mostly a Stoned and Dethroned kind of girl.
In concert news, I've bought tickets to HUMANWINE (Humans Underground Making Anagrams Nightly While Imperialistic Not-Mes Enslave), MFDM and Rasputina concerts in the upcoming months, and spent some time compiling a list of all of the places I trawl for interesting events, which was extremely satisfying.
I've become addicted to a steam game called Starbound. I get to explore planets and play house with Abundance, there's little death penalty and currently my pixelated avatar is wearing a grass skirt, a fancy hat, a coconut bra and butterfly wings. And my ship has a little pixelated cat that likes to eat pineapples and is happy to see me when I go back to the ship.
