"I got my ticket for the long way round"

Off to have a professional re-purple my hair. I've quite enjoyed this project, I've even liked every stage of the fading, and oh has it faded over the twelve weeks, to where there's only a hint of purple, and the tips of my hair are bleached white, and I kind of love it like this too.

I'm oft afraid of looking like I'm trying too hard, like I'm pretending I'm not aging. But I'm so much more fabulous now than I was twenty years ago, and well, if I am trying too hard, so be it. I'm getting pretty comfortable here in my fortress, it might be totally okay that people somewhere think I'm awful.
