"not all the changes are visible"
May. 13th, 2012 09:57 pmA mastectomy's not a golden ticket. It doesn't mean that I don't have to do hard things anymore, it doesn't mean that I'm going to get everything, everyone I want. I'm still going to have to write cover letters, I'm still going to occasionally ache for the things I can't have.
But I did go to my first yoga class, and made pineapple rice pilaf, and got my sewing machine working again and saw Cabin in the Woods a second time (possibly even better on the second go), and got the ingredients for rhubard-rosewater soda syrup, and went to Good Vibes, and bought purple luggage, and we finally got Faust (the car) inspected and saw Melissa Ferrick again, and we successfully discharged our mothers' day obligations, and discovered that my parents house is almost exactly one episode of wait wait long.
I wouldn't bother finishing a book where the villain had no redeeming characteristic, something one-dimensional wouldn't hold my interest, but I'm always surprised when there's something nice about my parents. And holy crap do my parents love Moppet. As in they might be less excited about grandchildren than they are about my dog.
I'm trolling craigslist for sergers, vrbo for vacation possibilities and petfinder for cats. The internet is full of things and I think I'll put it down and go read my silly book.
