Once Upon a Time

I've probably posted this before, but I've been thinking about it lately. I wrote this email to Light three days after I saw him in person for the first time since college,the first time I saw him after his wife left him, in January of 2003, soon to be nine years ago. I've taken out some of the dirtier bits, those are still just for me.

Sure, I was a melodramatic 27 year old, who wasn't? But I was right, except for the trainwrecking part. It remains hard to believe how lucky I am.
