Nov. 8th, 2010 08:17 pmSo, I'm the treasurer for Arisia.
I figured it might be interesting. I don't know exactly why, I thought it might give me some insight into a culture I've always felt sort of peripherally involved in. And, well, the short answer's no. But it's not a particularly resentful no. It's a thing, I tried it, I'm going to follow through on my commitment, and it'll probably make for an interesting, challenging birthday weekend come January.
I have a weird feeling of deja vu, even up to the recursive point of feeling like I'm remembering feeling like I'm remembering. And there's very little about a November that I want to relive.
I think, in fact, I'd like this to be a brand new kind of November I'm all jazzed about possible career directions, and the increasing probability of getting a dog. I've decided to take the week of Thanksgiving off from work, and I had a really awesome weekend. I'm making myself a list of projects, and I keep adding things to it, but instead of being daunted, it's a little bit like my book wishlist, and it makes me feel like it's an awesome world to have so may things in it I want to do.
Also, gmail thinks I might want to have an offshore account. And my ringtone is the boomdeayada song.
