intentionally cryptic?

Devastation makes me write bad poetry, read Mercedes Lackey novels and forget how to eat. But I'll get a tragus piercing, purple hair and maybe a tattoo. This may not be a thing I can figure out how to cope with now, but it will certainly be something I learn, and hope that I never get back into this situation. I don't think I've felt like this since I lost Lesson that first time, and I was eighteen when that happened.

Fair warning, 2010, I expect much better things from you than genetic timebombs and rejection.

My husband, my cats, and my lovely friends, and dark chocolate caramel truffles. Bizarre but comfortable weather, a winston churchill decal on my kitchen wall. I can still number the good things, and I will have a full and lovely weekend. I'll run out of tears and tremors eventually, and then I'll find out what comes after.
