january books

I spent a lot of time in January reading through my holiday cookbooks, selecting things I want to try. I'm not counting those as books, though so far I adore Simple Suppers and have had mixed success with How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. Delia's Vegetarian Collection is mostly for the pretty, since it's both too froofy, and too British for me to make things from successfully. The Perfect Scoop is awesome, but the weather disinclines me to make ice cream and the one thing I've made from The King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion was very well received, but more about that in a recipe posts.
