Jan. 20th, 2008 08:37 amOn the one hand, I'm still sad and sick to my stomach about a foolish internet-based thing I did last night. No, blessedly not sending one of Those Emails, but instead reading one of Those Livejournals. I have now sworn to myself that any time I am tempted to read the friends page of a friend, I will instead knit or read foodblogs. On this hand, our landlady was coming out of her apartment as we were going in, and tried to explain something to us about buying a house or making she's selling this house and neither of us understood At All. On this hand, Light's come down with his very own deathplague (I take no credit, the timing is all wrong) and I woke up at three am, because he had moved to the couch to sleep sitting up, and for some reason, I thought he was still in bed, so the sound of him blowing his nose resulted in the "Oh! A snotty burglar!" train of though. Awkwardly timed consciousness ensued.
On the other hand, this morning I shall experiment by making my very first oatmeal that doesn't come from a little paper bag, my cat is sitting on my foot purring, and I had a really awesome time last night. I wish more of you could have come, of course, but those of you that did rocked my world. On this hand, I'm getting closer to finishing my second scarf and I now have the appartus for brewing a single cup of loose-leaf tea, so I can finally try Harney and Sons Boston flavor tea (black tea with almonds and cranberries). On this hand, my life is full of awesome and it far outweighs the other hand. (Also on this hand, one of my cats just stretched herself into rolling off the bed and I am desperately trying to smother my laughter not to wake Light.)
