"some of it's just really dumb"
Oct. 9th, 2007 09:12 amSo, I have my tivo programmed to record anything in which Stanley Tucci appears and it turns out the man has had something of an embarrassing career. But, I plowed my way through Shall We Dance? (mostly by reading while it was on) and at the end, I was rewarded with Peter Gabriel covering The Book of Love.
It's a crankypants kind of day. Light's been struggling with a combination of a bad back and a bad cold since Friday, so it's been a while since I've gotten a good night's sleep. At about midnight, I finally surrendered to necessity and attempted to curl up and sleep on the loveseat. Oh, how I miss the rest of my furniture right now. I'm pretty sure I'd sell small chunks of my soul to be reunited with the futon or the couch.
In a couple hours, I'll head out to the dentist, where I'm pretty sure she'll tell me I need to make an appointment with an oral surgeon, and then I'll come home, and try to clean quietly enough not to wake Light (he called out today). I haven't decided if I want to go to the Passim volunteer orientation by myself or not, but I imagine I'll weigh in on the side of not.
My doc marten maryjanes came in the mail, and they're a little too big, but I'm infatuated enough with them that I've decided to get heel pads rather than give them up. Hopefully, this decision doesn't come back to bite me in the ass.
And now, seventeen cups of tea and a shower.
