And now, a more verbose weekend review
May. 8th, 2007 05:03 pmMy weekend was pretty much chock full of awesome. Friday night was lazy, and we went down to Herrell's for ice cream and my honey lime crack (soda) and played WoW and finished watching 1776 (Light had never seen it) and did nothing as far as I can remember.
Saturday was down to the comic book store to acquire the lovely Unfolding (not quite the right usename, but she gives me such a sense of something stretching its wings, or finding out it's less fragile than once it was) and then out to the street to watch Pride pass. Dogs and drag queens and so much fun. Then downtown to putter around, looking for Skin's wedding present at the Artisan's Gallery, and then back to Pride to eat fried dough and admire still more dogs. (this has also prompted me into another dangerous orgy of petfinder.com browsing) Light went home, and I worked my shift which was strangely soothing and reminded me I should really see if I can find a way to volunteer more. Home again for a bit for more laundry, and then dinner and a TMBG concert. I sort of lost interest in TMBG for a handful of years, I don't remember exactly at which album, but the upcoming album seems to promise a return of interest and listening to, among other things, Ana Ng live was pure awesomeness.
Sunday was brunch with Tulip and Algonquin, and grocery shopping, and more laundry and ironing and other chores and then an awesome and elaborate salad for dinner. And I tried not to cry when I realized I'd have to go to work again the next day, and I mostly succeeded.
