Pride was fantastic. Seeing Kumquat, Unexpected and her friend was even more fantastic. the world is apparently full of cute girls and dogs. (now i'm attempting to convince Light that we really really need a fuzzy dachshund.) and i got to wear my ludicrous skirt. and I may even get to see Girlyman again next week. and i bought a three dollar copy of cutthroat island at Turn It Up. Renny Harlin rocks my world.

In other news, i'm trying to wean myself off of hotmail, and rely more on gmail. I don't think this impacts anyone here, but it's also going to be my bounce for livejournal so if you're dying for the information, let me know. it feels weird to want to leave behind a usename i've been holding onto for many, many years, though this newer name should chide me into realizing that consistency isn't always a virtue.

i'm watching Howl's Moving Castle, reading Persuasion and am about place a large Penzeys order.

today, we got a season pass to Look Park and brought blankets and books and lounged on the grass. And then we made the gruyere rosti and chocolate honeycake and now i'm watching Strictly Ballroom. (having B over is awesome) We switched the flannel sheets for the bamboo-cotton blend sheets and they're wicked comfy. one of Light's comics from free comic book day was brilliant. there are yummy leftovers in the fridge.

things are good. this is neat. now i'm going to eat a fudgicle.
