Jan. 5th, 2006 05:19 pmi'm pretty sure this sounds like the most fun ever. I grew up (2nd to 12th grade) around the corner from this farm.

In other news, a mostly uneventful day. potluck last night was awesome, though as per usual, i left with the weird feeling that i'd tried just a little too hard, that the people i desperately want to like me can sense my strength of my desire and it's somehow embarrassing to everyone involved. but i ate very well (a startlingly meat-free night) and had absolutely awesome sweetpotatoandstuffinorangerinds dish and met my favorite exroommate's absolutely adorable cat. (i'm growing sort of pleased with the unwieldiness of her usename.)
tonight, chili, tomorrow potato leek soup, and hopefully after that, the world. I've already finished both The Virgin in the Garden and I, Claudius this year, which makes me feel accomplished, i'm hoping to see brokeback mountain as soon as possible, and maybe even socialize a little bit this weekend. i'm still cranky all the time, but i think it's because there's been no rhythm to anything for the past month. hopefully january will take me bedshopping, see me hosting Light's friends for ludicrous amounts of boardgame playing, into pittsfield for a girlyman show, and easterly to see Chile and a museum. It will also see me turn thirty. more on that to follow, i imagine. for now, however, katamari.
