shopping today, light traded in his second copy of risk: godstorm at spacecrime for books for me, nini's for pizza and sweeties for candy. cheap-ass ornaments at target, but resisted buying either Garden State or Resident Evil: Apocalypse, for the moment at least. going to make an effort to keep track of what i read this year, seen it in other people's journals and liked the idea.

no specific resolutions for the new year, or at least none that i'm willing to put on display. history made a revealing comment today standing in the subway line to get his breakfast sub before we saw the lemony snicket movie, and it made me think about the spaces i give myself. for all i insist that i'm better, not healed, i don't give myself a lot of room to not be okay.

the kitten curls up under the tree now, or in the pile of stuffed animals on the window sill, snuggled into a tree skirt or a dragon's tale. i'm trying to become socially bolder, but i don't know how, yet.
